Roundtop is a exceptional one day trip. It takes about 2 and a half hours to get there from the DC area and less if you live west or Northwest of the city. Not only can you indulge and absorb recreational skiing and snowboarding, but you can also participate in recreational ski and snowboard races for all ages.

Don’t ever let someone testify that you can’t have fun in the frigged Pennsylvania outdoors. Skiing is by far one of the most exhilarating winter activities imaginable. Ski Liberty is a great place to visit and is only about an hour and a half outside the Washington DC area just across the line in Pennsylvania. It’s a great place to take a day trip with your friends, or even flying solo. It’s ok if you have ever been skiing? Ski liberty offers ski and snowboarding lessons for novices of all ages. Ski liberty is also challenging for the extreme sports junkies because it is home to an exciting terrain park equipped with banks, rails, and jumps.
